Ogee washers, also known as Gee washers, are large cast iron washers commonly used in dock and wood construction. The term “ogee” refers to their distinctive curved shape. These washers are oversized and feature a large bearing surface, which is specifically designed to prevent bolt heads and nuts from pulling into timber, ensuring secure and durable fastening.
Ogee washers are covered under ASTM A48, the standard specification for Gray Iron Castings.
In addition to standard sizes, custom plate washers can be quickly fabricated to meet your specific project requirements.
