Hex Jam

Hex jam nuts are thinner than standard hex nuts, but they maintain the same dimensions across the flats and corners. These nuts are commonly used for two main purposes:

1. Locking Application – A hex jam nut is threaded onto a bolt and tightened against a standard hex nut. This action locks the primary nut in place and helps prevent it from loosening or backing off.

2. Leveling Application – Hex jam nuts are also widely used for leveling and adjustment purposes in various mechanical and structural applications.
