Hex jam nuts are thinner than standard hex nuts, but they maintain the same dimensions across the flats and corners. These nuts are commonly used for two main purposes:
Locking Application – A hex jam nut is threaded onto a bolt and tightened against a standard hex nut. This action locks the primary nut in place and helps prevent it from loosening or backing off.
Leveling Application – Hex jam nuts are also widely used for leveling and adjustment purposes in various mechanical and structural applications.
