Square plate washers are manufactured from low-carbon steel and offer a larger bearing surface than round washers. Due to the increased surface area and the higher friction developed when tightened against wood, these washers are commonly used in seismic applications and are widely applied in timber construction.

At EBB, we stock square plate washers for bolt diameters ranging from 1/2″ to 1″, with thicknesses from 0.195″ to 0.395″. For maximum durability and corrosion protection, our experts recommend hot-dip galvanized square plate washers.
