Timber Bolts

Our mission is to become Africa’s leading engineering company a place where talented people want to work and clients want to buy from.
How we deliver:

Also known as dome head, fender head, safety head, mushroom head, and economy bolts in the Pacific Northwest, timber bolts are used primarily in marine and wood applications. The head of a timber bolt is rounded, bulky, and low-profile, with two fins or nubs located near the base of the head. These nubs prevent the bolt from turning within the timber during installation and service. Additionally, the wide, bulky head helps reduce overall cost by eliminating the need for a separate malleable iron washer.

Manufacturing

BBI manufactures superior-quality timber bolts in diameters ranging from 1/2″ to 1-1/2″, meeting most ASTM, SAE, and AASHTO specifications. We also offer custom manufacturing through special tooling to produce non-standard bolt heads and head dimensions, including your preferred logo and/or company name for customized branding.
